A limited edition collection of 20 bespoke T-shirts created by acclaimed artist Camille Henrot and Tempers to celebrate the upcoming album Delusion. The Cat Hybrid t-shirts stem from their years-long exchange of cat memes - a fascination that led them to question if they may be cats themselves. For the collection, Henrot and Tempers transformed vintage T-shirts by turning them inside out, bleaching, dyeing and painting them by hand, then screenprinting Henrot’s illustrations of a cat and a portrait of Tempers on either side - whose muted and agitated expressions echo the record’s contrasting emotional states. The T-shirts are completed with a cursive Tempers logo hand-drawn by Golestaneh, a nod to her great-grandfather and Persian master calligrapher, Ali Akbar Golestaneh.

ABOUT CAMILLE HENROT

Camille Henrot (born 1978, France) is recognized as one of the most influential voices in contemporary art today. Over the past twenty years, she has developed a critically acclaimed practice, encompassing drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and film. In 2013, Henrot received widespread critical acclaim for her film “Grosse Fatigue”, made during a fellowship at the Smithsonian Institution and awarded the Silver Lion at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013. She is the recipient of the 2014 Nam June Paik Award and the 2015 Edvard Munch Award, and has participated in the Lyon, Berlin, Sydney and Liverpool Biennials, among others.

ABOUT TEMPERS

Tempers is the music project of New York-based singer-songwriter Jasmine Golestaneh - blending emotionally resonant lyrics and an eclectic palette of electronic sounds into low-lit poetic synth-pop, with hints of techno, shoegaze and post-punk. Tempers’ 2015 debut album, Services, included the underground dancefloor hit “Strange Harvest”. In 2019, Tempers released the LP Private Life, which introduced a more introspective sound, followed by New Meaning in 2022, which was accompanied by a book of Golestaneh’s original collage art inspired by the record. Tempers’ art world leanings have led to unique collaborations including an EP (2017’s Fundamental Fantasy) stemming from an artist residency with The Vinyl Factory, and the 2018 release of Junkspace feat. Rem Koolhaas – a concept album in partnership with the famed architect. Tempers new album Delusion will be released April 24 via her own label fear of luxury, distributed by Cascine / Secretly.
